Author interview with Dr Bonnie Kaplan

Dr Kaplan is the author of Database Analysis of Adults with Bipolar Disorder Consuming a Micronutrient Formula which was recently published in Clinical Medicine: Psychiatry.

What is the primary focus of your research?

Nutrition's effects on brain development and function.

What are the most exciting developments arising from current research in your area?

The possibility of treating serious physical and mental problems with nutrient supplementation instead of medications.

How did you come to be working in your research area?

I have had a longstanding interest in nutrition; my research is on brain development and function. Blending the two is logical.
