What is the primary focus of your research?
Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS) and its clinical applications.
What are the most exciting developments arising from current research in your area?
The ability to non-invasively evaluate levels of cerebral metabolites prior, during, and after treatment of a disease or disorder.
Who are your main collaborators? Please describe your work with them
I work primarily with the UCLA team of Dr. M.A. Thomas et. al and we look at applications of MRS and development of new techniques to better evaluate and quantify levels of cerebral metabolites in psychiatric, oncological, and metabolic disorders and diseases.
How did you come to be working in your research area?
It was a natural progression after my doctoral thesis in this area. I continued to work with the patients in the area of my research and slowly broadened the approach to include other diseases and disorders.
What articles and/or books have you published recently?
